1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SheetDiff ("the Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Application.

2. Description of Service

SheetDiff is a desktop application that provides Excel file comparison capabilities. It allows users to compare two Excel files (.xlsx, .xls, .csv) and visualize differences at the cell level. The Application operates entirely on your local device and does not transmit your files to external servers.

3. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Application for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Application only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application
  • Not use the Application to compare files you do not have permission to access
  • Not distribute, sublicense, or transfer the Application to third parties
  • Ensure you have the right to access and compare any files you use with the Application

5. Privacy and Data

SheetDiff processes all data locally on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your Excel files, comparison results, or any other user data. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

The Application and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by SheetDiff and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Supported File Formats

SheetDiff supports the following file formats:

  • Microsoft Excel 2007+ (.xlsx)
  • Microsoft Excel 97-2004 (.xls)
  • Comma-Separated Values (.csv)

We do not guarantee compatibility with all variations of these formats or files created by third-party applications.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APPLICATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF COMPARISON RESULTS. USERS SHOULD VERIFY IMPORTANT COMPARISONS MANUALLY.

9. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL SHEETDIFF BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DECISIONS MADE BASED ON COMPARISON RESULTS PROVIDED BY THE APPLICATION.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Application after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SheetDiff operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
